Chief Of Defence Staff Encourages Troops: Don’t Disappoint Our Nation

Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations, highlighted that the Defence Chief encouraged these efforts following a briefing on troops’ activities in various operational areas across the nation at the Army Headquarters Operations Centre.

In response, the CDS lauded Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, Principal Staff Officers, Field Commanders, and troops for their dedicated service, emphasizing the need for selfless commitment to humanitarian duties, which should align with supporting civil authorities.

The CDS advised Commanders to remain focused, dedicated, and professional in their leadership roles to facilitate the country’s return to peace and stability.

He urged them to set an example, providing effective leadership and guidance to junior officers in the Nigerian Army.

Musa encouraged the troops to sustain their resilience and promote collaborative efforts with other agencies to counter security threats during their operations.

He assured them of President Bola Tinubu’s support and appreciated the President’s contributions to the Armed Forces since taking office.

“We have a collective responsibility and must not disappoint our nation. We enjoy the backing of the President and the entire nation,” he further stated.

He urged troops to assist the primary agency in the upcoming elections and strictly adhere to the prescribed rules governing their involvement during polling.
