He stated, “We briefed the President on the current situation. Since the unrest began, it was initially perceived as peaceful, but it has become evident that some individuals are exploiting the chaos to incite disorder. We have witnessed looting and criminal activities escalating since the protests began.”

He condemned the display of foreign flags within Nigeria, calling it unacceptable and a treasonable act. “The President has instructed us to make it clear that we will not tolerate any foreign flags in Nigeria. This is a serious offense, and those responsible will face legal consequences. We urge individuals not to be manipulated by others for such actions.”

Mustapha further addressed concerns about coups, stating, “Nigeria is a democratic nation, and all security agencies are dedicated to protecting our democracy. We will not tolerate any efforts to undermine or change the government through illegal means.”

He added that the authorities are tracking those orchestrating these actions, particularly targeting those manipulating young people to display foreign flags. “The President has made it clear that we will not tolerate disruptions to Nigeria’s peace and stability. We are unified in our efforts to maintain order and will take decisive action against those who cross the line by promoting foreign symbols in Nigeria.”

The General reassured that the military is prepared to intervene if necessary and stressed that any individuals responsible for these acts will face prosecution.
