On Monday, the Action People’s Party (APP) office along the GRA axis in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, was hit by a dynamite explosion. This attack comes amid speculation that State Governor Siminalayi Fubara might be considering moving to the APP with his supporters. An anonymous party official described the incident as politically motivated, stating, “I’m a member of the APP, and I was informed of the attack at about 3 a.m. It is clearly politically motivated, as the APP is rapidly growing in the state. We urge the police to investigate and apprehend those responsible.”
State police spokesperson Grace Iringe-Koko, however, said she was not yet aware of the incident.
