The protesting youth conveyed their concerns to the President through an open letter, highlighting their apprehensions regarding Tinubu’s preference for the PDP over the state party structure. They emphasized the urgency of voicing their grievances rather than suffering in silence.
The letter included this excerpt: “Recent developments have witnessed the appointment of PDP members, leaving our numerous supporters and dedicated party members bewildered and deeply troubled.
Sir, it is vital to consider the provisions in our party’s constitution: Article 9 (3) (iii) of the APC constitution explicitly states that ‘APC-led Governments at all levels shall prioritize qualified members of the party in appointments to positions in ministries, departments, and agencies.'”
