During an unannounced inspection visit by Governor Fubara, the newly acquired medical equipment was assessed, and RSUTH’s acting Chief Medical Director, Professor Chizindu Alikor, expressed gratitude for Governor Fubara’s continuous support, which has bolstered the hospital’s standing as a leading tertiary healthcare institution in Nigeria.
Professor Alikor guided journalists through various departments, such as the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Special Care Baby Unit (SBCU), Radiography, Renal Center, and the Modular Theatre, emphasizing that the advanced medical infrastructure in these units has significantly improved service delivery, making RSUTH one of the nation’s best hospitals.
Alikor also highlighted that the Modular Theatre is set to be inaugurated by the end of October 2023, and that RSUTH boasts over 400 beds, continuous power supply, an oxygen plant with piped oxygen delivery to critical units, ventilators, MRI and CT scan equipment, and other top-notch facilities.
