Social media critic, Reno Omokri has listed five projects in Nigeria worth billions of dollars which have equally provided millions of jobs that are more valuable than Rwanda’s $2 billion airport.
In his words, he said:
“The Dangote Refinery is a game changer. Perhaps nothing in the last ten years will have as much impact on our economy as this project. The first immediate impact will be that the Naira will have less negative pressure because fuel imports are the most significant drain on our foreign reserves. Such imports will reduce or even be eliminated when the refinery goes full swing by month’s end. It will stabilise. It may even rise. Whoever is the next President will claim the credit. But in reality, the praise would be Dangote’s.”
“Nigeria is about to commission Dangote’s $19 billion 650,000 barrels per day refinery, the largest single train refinery in the world, at the end of this month. And you have never shown any excitement about the project. You haven’t praised it. But you read somewhere that Rwanda wants to build a $2 billion airport, and suddenly you began to praise Rwanda and talk down Nigeria. Yes, Buhari is a disappointment. But you are not better. Rwanda would kill to have what Nigeria has.”
“Let me give you a list of finished investments in Nigeria that dwarf Rwanda’s proposed $2 billion airport. The $25 billion Lekki Free Trade Zone The $19 billion Dangote refinery The $10 billion Escravos gas-to-liquids project The $10 billion train 7 of the NLNG The $3.2 billion Indorama fertiliser plants To mention a few. Lagos’s economy is at least two and a half times that of Rwanda’s. As a Nigerian, don’t belittle your country because of your frustration with disappointing leaders like Buhari. Nigeria is more than the APC.”
Dear Okechukwu,
Thank you for your feedback. Yet, when there is trouble in Sudan, your likes were shooting videos complaining that the Federal Government refused to evacuate them to this same nation you call a 'dead country'. Why did they not go to a living country? I watched… pic.twitter.com/5CzQoYkiQ7

Together, these investments employ over 200,000 people, and these are what you are saying Nigeria benefits nothing from? What an ignorant statement. Vamoose from my TL! Unfollow and block me, please. I don't need such vacuousness. Nabob of negativity. Enemy of progress.
