Aya instructed Adejoh to provide evidence supporting his claim against the State Police Command and the Commissioner of Police or face the repercussions of his actions.

“The Police Command is impartial and does not align with any political party. Our primary duty is to safeguard lives and property, a responsibility we fulfill without bias.

“Today, we received reports of a protest escalating at the State Office of the Independent National Electoral Commission.

The Commissioner of Police promptly ordered the deployment of officers to restore order at the INEC Office.

Our focus is on securing the staff and property of the Electoral Commission and ensuring the well-being of citizens conducting business around the INEC Office.

“The operation that successfully reinstated peace at the INEC Office seems to have provoked the Social Democratic Party, and the reasons for their displeasure are unclear to us.

Notably, the protesters obstructing the road and engaging in tire burning to create fear were all adorned in the fez caps of the Social Democratic Party,” stated the Kogi police spokesperson in the release.
