Sections 3 And 4 Of Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway To Be Launched By Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu is set to inaugurate phases three and four of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project next week. This announcement came from the Ministry of Works, with Director of Information and Public Relations Edet Ekpenyong confirming the development in a statement on Sunday.

Minister of Works Dave Umahi disclosed the federal government’s plans during a stakeholders engagement meeting at Ibom hall in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state. Section three spans 27 km in Akwa Ibom and 38 km in Cross River State, while section four covers 80 km entirely within Akwa Ibom.

Umahi emphasized President Tinubu’s commitment to completing the project for the benefit of Nigerians, stating, “We are introducing Section Three and Four of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway as directed by the President, starting from Cross River and ending in Akwa Ibom.”

Senate President Godswill Akpabio, speaking at the event, expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for commencing sections three and four in Cross River State and urged Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno to provide full support to the federal government.
