Senate Approves 21 New Commissioners For Revenue Mobilization And Fiscal CommissionThe Senate has confirmed 21 new federal commissioners for the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) following a review of the report from the Joint Committee on National Planning and Economic Affairs and Finance.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Senator Yahaya Abdullahi of the PDP from Kebbi North presented the report, stating, “That the Senate do receive and consider the report of the Joint Committee on National Planning and Economic Affairs and Finance on the confirmation of the nominations for appointment as Federal Commissioners in the RMAFC.”

President Bola Tinubu had previously appointed the commissioners, pending Senate confirmation. The announcement was made by Ajuri Ngelale, the former Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, in August 2024. The Senate referred the screening process to the committee in September 2024.

The confirmed commissioners include Linda Oti (Abia), Akpan Effiong (Akwa Ibom), Enefe Ekene (Anambra), Prof. Steve Ugba (Benue), Chief Eyonsa (Cross River), Aruviere Egharhevwe (Delta), Nduka Awuregu (Ebonyi), Victor Eboigbe (Edo), Wumi Ogunlola (Ekiti), Ozo Obodougo (Enugu), and Kabir Mohammed Mashi (Katsina). Additional appointees are Adamu Fanda (Kano), Prof. Olusegun Kunle Wright (Lagos), Aliyu Abdulkadir (Nasarawa), Bako Shetima (Niger), Samuel Durojaye (Ogun), Nathaniel Adejutelegan (Ondo), Saad Ibrahim (Plateau), Modu-Aji Juluri (Yobe), Bello Garba (Zamfara), and Mohammed Usman (Gombe).

In his remarks, Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio encouraged the new commissioners to excel in their roles and to serve as effective ambassadors for their states and the nation.
