The nominations were endorsed following the presentation of the Committee on capital markets’ report by Senator Osita Izunaso.

Senator Izunaso assured the Senate that the nominees were highly qualified and had passed all necessary security checks.

Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin urged the appointees to diligently carry out their duties for the nation’s benefit.

President Bola Tinubu appointed Agama to succeed Mr. Lamido Yuguda on April 19. Agama’s appointment has been praised by capital market stakeholders, who believe his expertise will contribute to the realization of the administration’s economic goals.
