Additionally, Frana Chukwuogor, Bola Ajomale, and Samiya Usman were approved as Executive Commissioners.
The nominations were endorsed following the presentation of the Committee on capital markets’ report by Senator Osita Izunaso.
Senator Izunaso assured the Senate that the nominees were highly qualified and had passed all necessary security checks.
Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin urged the appointees to diligently carry out their duties for the nation’s benefit.
President Bola Tinubu appointed Agama to succeed Mr. Lamido Yuguda on April 19. Agama’s appointment has been praised by capital market stakeholders, who believe his expertise will contribute to the realization of the administration’s economic goals.
Agama, expressing his commitment, emphasized his intention to foster capital market development, wealth creation, investment attraction, and job creation in Nigeria.
