At the event, Mrs. Tinubu distributed cheques to selected beneficiaries and urged those benefiting from the interest and collateral-free loans to invest their funds wisely.
Emphasizing the commitment of the present administration to supporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), she highlighted the potential for these enterprises to create widespread employment opportunities in Nigeria.
Mrs. Tinubu underscored the crucial role of MSMEs as a lifeline for those facing financial challenges, emphasizing their transformative impact on the well-being of individuals and families.
She stressed the significance of supporting small businesses, particularly in fostering inclusive growth and providing tangible benefits to vulnerable groups, including women and persons with disabilities.
The President’s wife emphasized that MSMEs serve as a foundation for economic empowerment, offering a platform for individuals with limited resources to become self-reliant entrepreneurs in a supportive environment.
She introduced the rebranded components of the program, namely Owo Oja (formerly Tradermoni), Owoagbe (formerly Farmermoni), and Iyaloja (formerly Marketmoni), with the new names conveying a deeper understanding of the initiative among various segments of the population, especially women, traders, and farmers.
