The Banquet Hall of the State House radiated a calm, purpose-driven ambience as First Lady, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, hosted members of the National Assembly to a high-level evening of reflection, unity and legislative engagement.

Among the respected voices present was Senator Saliu Mustapha, whose steady, composed presence added depth to the night’s conversations. Known for his firm grasp of policy and his bridge-building style, the Senator carried himself with his trademark understated confidence, engaging lawmakers and executive leaders with clarity and focus.

The gathering drew an exceptional lineup of national figures — Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, SGF Senator George Akume and Chief of Staff to the President Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila — all seated with lawmakers from both chambers in an atmosphere of cooperation.

The First Lady’s message went beyond goodwill. She reiterated her firm appeal for progress on the Gender Parity Bill, also known as the Reserved Seats for Women Bill, encouraging the National Assembly to give renewed attention to this important piece of reform.

It was a night of dialogue, depth and direction — and Senator Mustapha once again demonstrated the calm, issue-driven leadership that has made him a trusted figure within the legislature.
