During the interview, Senator Abbas clarified that the food items and monetary gifts he distributed during the recent Christmas and New Year celebrations were personally funded by him. He vehemently denied receiving any financial or material assistance from the government for the purpose of providing palliatives to the constituents.
“I want to make it clear that no one gave me money or rice to distribute as palliatives to our constituents. This is a fabricated falsehood intended to tarnish our reputation. If there is any truth to it, I challenge the alleged contractor to present the invoices for each senator,” he stated.
Senator Abbas emphasized the unsubstantiated nature of the reports and urged those responsible for spreading the information to present concrete evidence supporting their claims. The senator is resolute in dispelling any notion that government resources were used for the distribution of relief items, asserting that the initiative was solely financed from his personal funds.
