This statement comes in the wake of the Senate’s approval of President Bola Tinubu’s 2022-2024 external borrowing rolling plan, amounting to 7.4 billion dollars and 100 million euros. Gololo urged a shift in focus towards investigating and prosecuting former ministers promptly, calling on President Tinubu to prioritize this matter urgently.
Expressing confidence in the current administration, Gololo highlighted the distinctive approach of President Tinubu, describing him as a responsive leader. He commended the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), emphasizing the expectation that, as a person of faith, he would carry out necessary actions.
Gololo further compared the present government’s accountability measures to those of previous administrations, citing instances where President Tinubu addressed ministers directly about performance expectations. He noted that this administration, characterized by effective checks and balances, stands apart from its predecessors.
