Seun Kuti Issues Apology To Ayorinde Amid P&ID Fraud Allegations....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Seun Kuti, renowned Afrobeat musician and son of the legendary Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, has publicly apologized to Bolaji Ayorinde over defamatory remarks made against the senior lawyer.

In a video shared on social media, Seun implied that Ayorinde had deliberately leaked information to Process and Industrial Development (P&ID) during Nigeria’s arbitration proceedings regarding a disputed gas contract.

Additionally, Seun expressed his readiness to confront Ayorinde in court regarding the controversy surrounding the P&ID gas processing contract case.

Subsequently, Ayorinde filed a lawsuit for libel and defamation of character against Seun in an Oyo State High Court in Ibadan.

During the hearing on April 18, 2024, both parties informed the court that they had reached a settlement and presented the agreed terms, dated April 15, 2024, for adoption by the court.

Consequently, Justice K. Olawoyin ratified the terms of settlement as the court’s judgment.

According to the terms, Seun unequivocally retracted his previous statements made on his Instagram handle on October 31, 2023, acknowledging them as untrue and baseless. He admitted that Ayorinde did not leak confidential documents or act unethically during the P&ID vs. Nigeria arbitration.

Furthermore, Seun apologized for unjustly tarnishing Ayorinde’s character and reputation, acknowledging the harm caused by his unfounded allegations.

In his defense before the court, Seun affirmed his retraction of the false accusations, recognizing the potential damage inflicted on Ayorinde’s reputation.

This resolution marks a significant step in resolving the dispute between Seun Kuti and Bolaji Ayorinde, bringing closure to a contentious legal matter.
