Seven Ex-Bandits Choose Peace Surrender Arms To Security Forces

Seven notorious bandits in Plateau state have voluntarily surrendered and handed over their arsenal, which includes AK-47 rifles, to security agencies.

Brigadier General Gakji Shipi (rtd), the Special Adviser to the Plateau state Governor on Security and Coordinator of Operation Rainbow, revealed this during a press briefing in Jos on Monday, April 22. Shipi emphasized that the state’s non-kinetic security approach is yielding positive outcomes. He commended the collaborative efforts of security agencies, vigilantes, and hunters in Wase local government area, highlighting their recent successes in combating banditry and other security threats.

So far, seven AK-47 rifles have been surrendered to Operation Rainbow operatives.
