Shame On You! APC Fires At PDP Governors, Urges Focus On Party Revival
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of misleading Nigerians with baseless claims. The ruling party criticized PDP governors for dismissing the results of the August 16 by-elections held in 12 states.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
APC spokesman Felix Morka said the opposition governors remain stuck in denial about their waning political relevance.
Morka condemned a statement issued after the PDP Governors’ Forum meeting in Zamfara State, where the governors accused APC of lacking vision and engaging in undemocratic practices. He described PDP as “a party in deep comatose,” riddled with internal crises, and largely rejected by Nigerians.
He urged PDP governors to prioritize reviving their “ailing party” rather than making “frivolous and baseless allegations” against APC.
“Emerging from their meeting in Zamfara on Saturday, August 23, 2025, PDP governors displayed blatant hypocrisy by claiming the APC lacks agenda and vision, and that voters would deny it support in 2027. It is ironically the PDP, a party crippled by internal crises and barely recognizable from its former self, that faces this bleak future,” Morka said.
He added that instead of wasting time on accusations, PDP governors should focus on restoring their party with urgency and responsibility. Their continued denial of the party’s declining influence, he argued, is a betrayal of their disillusioned members.
The APC pointed to its strong showing in recent by-elections as proof of public confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s administration and its Renewed Hope Agenda.
Morka further accused PDP governors of failing to deliver quality governance in their states despite receiving historic federal allocations under President Tinubu. According to him, over ₦2 trillion had been disbursed to states by July 2025, yet PDP-led states continued to perform poorly.
“Nigeria will not return to the dark era of PDP-led federal administration when states were bankrupt and unable to pay salaries,” the APC concluded.
