He shared that many people constantly reminded him of his wife’s inability to conceive and, at one point, accused him of sacrificing her womb in exchange for fame, simply because his career experienced a significant uplift after their marriage.

Hakeem revealed that the relentless bullying and emotional pressure eventually led them to consider surrogacy. However, in a surprising twist, while their surrogate mother was six months pregnant, his wife also conceived naturally.

He said, “People would mockingly say, ‘Tell your boss’s wife to go and conceive. A woman’s pride in marriage is her child, not following her husband everywhere.’ Some even started calling her ‘Akeem’s mother.’ Many claimed I had used her womb for rituals because everything began to go well for me after our wedding. We chose surrogacy out of frustration—but by the time the surrogate was six months in, my wife was also expecting.”
