Sh*ck In RCCG: Pastor Adeboye Reveals How Ailing Monarch Died Moments After Pleading With God For Healing

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A. Adeboye, has shared a striking encounter he once had with an ailing traditional ruler while lecturing at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).

Speaking during a recent service, Pastor Adeboye explained that he was in his office at UNILAG working on a mathematical problem when he suddenly heard God instruct him to write a letter to a certain chief, urging him to repent.

According to him, he obeyed immediately, writing the message exactly as directed: “Tell him I love him. I know all his faults, I know everything he has done wrong, but if he surrenders his life to Me, I will forgive him and still take him to heaven.”

Although he initially worried about not knowing the chief’s address, God told him simply to write the name on the envelope and post it. Remarkably, the letter reached the traditional ruler within three days, and not long after, the chief visited Adeboye in his office.

Pastor Adeboye, fondly called Daddy G.O., said he repeatedly urged the ruler to repent and give his life to Christ, but the man kept postponing the decision. For three years, Adeboye visited him every two weeks, yet the chief always replied, “I will think about it.”

One day, the ruler suffered a massive stroke. Before losing consciousness, he asked for Pastor Adeboye. The clergyman rushed to his side and prayed earnestly for God to restore him so he could make one final appeal.

Miraculously, within an hour, the ruler regained full health. Adeboye seized the moment, pleading with him again to surrender to Christ. But the chief still responded, “I will think about it.”

With sorrow, Adeboye recalled: “At that point, I knew there was no need to waste my time. Shortly after, he died.”
