The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has issued a strong public advisory, warning Nigerians to be extremely vigilant when engaging with individuals or organizations operating under the names or fake registration numbers of 15 unregistered entities.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The alert — released via a public notice on X — follows a surge in reports concerning dubious and fraudulent business activities across the country.
According to the CAC, the following entities are not on its official registry and are using false corporate details:

The Commission stressed that anyone doing business with these organizations is not legally protected, as they lack legitimate corporate registration.
To safeguard the public and prevent financial losses, the CAC urged Nigerians to take the following precautionary steps before entering any business agreement:
✔ Verify business names and RC/BN numbers using the CAC online portal
✔ Request certified incorporation documents for major transactions
✔ Avoid payments to companies that cannot be confirmed in the CAC database
✔ Report suspected fake businesses to CAC or security agencies
This announcement aligns with the CAC’s mandate to maintain a credible national business register and promote transparency and trust in Nigeria’s corporate environment.
