The Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially announced the appointment of Sylvester Aigboboh as the Acting Deputy State Chairman, and Pedro Esangbedo as the Acting Vice Chairman for Edo Central Senatorial District.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

According to a press release issued by the party’s State Secretariat on Sunday, May 25, the appointments take immediate effect.

These developments follow the elevation of former Deputy State Chairman, Chief Jaret Tenebe, to the position of State Chairman, and the defection of Chief Francis Inegbeniki, the previous Vice Chairman for Edo Central, to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The statement emphasized that the appointments were made in line with the APC constitution and are aimed at ensuring smooth internal administration and continuity.

“In keeping with the APC constitution and to maintain the operational effectiveness of the party, it became necessary to appoint individuals with proven integrity and leadership qualities to these roles,” the statement noted.

Aigboboh and Esangbedo will serve in an acting capacity until the next State Congress is convened.

They are expected to work closely with the new State Chairman, Emperor Jaret Tenebe, and the rest of the party’s executive team to provide strong leadership as the party gears up for the 2027 general elections.
