According to him, Mohbad’s mother called around 4:30 p.m. to inform him that the singer had taken ill and was hospitalized. He agreed to meet her so they could visit together. Upon arriving at the location in Osapa London, they were assured by Mohbad’s uncle, Darosha, that the artist was doing better and he could return home by 7 p.m.

However, Aloba said something didn’t feel right.

“I was already sensing my son was dead,” he said. “The way I kept receiving calls, then suddenly being told he was okay—it didn’t sit well with me.”

Later that evening, he decided to visit Mohbad’s residence. Upon arrival, he encountered a crowd blocking the entrance and had to identify himself before gaining access. Inside, he discovered a blood-soaked duvet in the room he usually met his son—deepening his fears that something sinister had occurred.

Aloba made further startling claims, including that Mohbad’s body was embalmed at home without his consent and that a morgue initially rejected the body. He also alleged that he was denied access to the police report because he hadn’t reported the death on time.

“They embalmed him in the house. When they tried to move the body to the morgue that night, it was refused,” he said.
“At the police station, someone intervened and stopped them from giving me the report.”

He also accused Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi, of withholding the doctor’s report.

“She had it but said nothing. I was left in the dark,” Aloba lamented.

Mohbad’s death at just 27 years old shocked fans across Nigeria and beyond, sparking outrage and demands for justice. Allegations of foul play, industry bullying, and conflicting reports have continued to stir public concern.

As of now, neither law enforcement nor Mohbad’s family representatives have publicly responded to Aloba’s latest claims.
