Sh*cking Confession: Jones Reveals Why He Plotted To Assassinate President Trump

A 50-year-old woman, Nathalie Rose Jones, from Lafayette, Indiana, has been arrested for allegedly plotting to kidnap and assassinate former U.S. President Donald Trump.

According to a statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia on August 18, 2025, Jones was taken into custody on August 16 after traveling to Washington, D.C., with the intent to execute her plan.

Authorities revealed that Jones had posted multiple alarming threats on Facebook and Instagram, openly declaring her desire to kill Trump. In one disturbing post, she wrote:

“I am willing to sacrificially kill this POTUS by disembowelling him and cutting out his trachea with Liz Cheney and all The Affirmation present.”

She also hinted at an “arrest and removal ceremony” for the former president.

The U.S. Secret Service launched an investigation, tracing the posts back to Jones. When interrogated on August 15, she admitted to making the threats and said she would attempt to assassinate Trump if given the chance.

Jones claimed her actions were motivated by anger over lives lost during the COVID-19 pandemic, though she later recanted and said she no longer wished to harm Trump.

Investigators noted that Jones had previously disclosed struggles with mental illness in several of her social media posts.

She now faces charges of threatening the life of the president and transmitting interstate communications containing threats, both of which carry penalties of up to five years in prison if convicted.

U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro condemned the incident, stressing:

“Threatening the life of the President is one of the most serious crimes and one that will be met with swift and unwavering prosecution.”
