Sh*cking Update: FBI Reveals Disturbing Findings On Charlie Kirk’s Killer

The gunman who fatally shot American conservative youth leader Charlie Kirk during a live event in Utah is still on the run.

Authorities confirmed they have obtained clear video footage of the suspect and recovered the weapon used in the attack.

Kirk, 31, a rising figure on the Republican right and a key ally in Donald Trump’s successful bid to reclaim the presidency last year, was shot in the neck on Wednesday while speaking at Utah Valley University. He collapsed on stage and later died from his injuries.

The FBI has described the incident as a “targeted attack,” warning that it highlights the deepening political tensions in the United States, just six months into Trump’s second term.

FBI Special Agent Robert Bohls told reporters, “We’re doing everything possible to locate him. We’re not certain how far he’s gotten, but we won’t stop until he’s found.” He confirmed that investigators had recovered the presumed murder weapon—a high-powered bolt-action rifle—abandoned in a wooded area near the scene.

Two individuals detained earlier for questioning were later cleared of involvement.

Utah’s Commissioner for Public Safety, Beau Mason, revealed that law enforcement has secured high-quality video images of the suspect, believed to be of university age, but said the footage would not yet be released publicly.

President Donald Trump was the first to announce Kirk’s death, calling it a “dark moment for America” in a video statement. He blamed “radical left rhetoric” for fueling the attack, saying, “For years, the left has compared patriotic Americans like Charlie to Nazis and criminals. That dangerous rhetoric is directly responsible for the terrorism we’re witnessing.”

He vowed to hold everyone linked to the shooting accountable, declaring, “My administration will track down each and every person who played a role in this atrocity.”

Eyewitnesses described scenes of panic after the gunfire. Samuel Kimball, a software engineering student, said, “It makes me feel like I have to be careful about sharing my political views.”

Utah’s Republican Governor Spencer Cox condemned the killing, calling it a “political assassination.”

Kirk, who co-founded Turning Point USA in 2012, was known for promoting conservative values among young Americans. He amassed a massive online following across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, where he championed anti-immigration policies, Christian values, gun rights, and viral clips of fiery campus debates.
