Sh*ckwave In Kano Politics: Ganduje’s Ex-Aide Defects To Kwankwasiyya Movement
Mustapha Hamza Buhari Bakwana, a former political adviser to ex-Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, has formally resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and aligned himself with the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Announcing his defection during a meeting with his political associates and supporters in Kano, Bakwana pledged loyalty to the Kwankwasiyya movement, the political group loyal to former governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
Explaining his decision, Bakwana cited persistent marginalisation, exclusion, and a lack of political direction under Ganduje’s leadership.
“I’ve been with the APC since its formation, but we were eventually treated like strangers. Our contributions were disregarded, and internal democracy was completely absent,” he lamented.
Bakwana accused Ganduje’s faction of suppressing dissent and prioritising personal ambition over collective party ideals. He claimed the APC had devolved into a “private estate”, where only a select few close to Ganduje could flourish.
“The party has become a personal playground where only Ganduje’s loyalists are allowed to succeed, while others are marginalised and silenced,” he alleged.
