She Appeared In My Dream – Bauchi Housewife Confesses To K!ll!ng Co-Wife

A 35-year-old housewife in Bauchi State, Hauwau Haruna, has reportedly confessed to k!ll!ng her co-wife, Jamila Adamu, after allegedly believing that the deceased repeatedly appeared in her dreams and was trying to harm her and her children.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Hauwau was arrested by the Bauchi State Police Command on Sunday, September 27, 2026, over the death of Jamila, who she allegedly attacked with a pestle.

Speaking at the Bauchi State Police Command headquarters, Hauwau reportedly expressed regret over the incident and disclosed that she had lived with Jamila for more than 16 years.

She said she was taken to the State Criminal Investigation Department following the incident and explained that she had been experiencing recurring dreams in which Jamila allegedly appeared to be attempting to kill her and her children.

According to Hauwau, Jamila appeared in one of the dreams on Sunday in the form of a cat. She claimed that she woke up and used a food flask to strike at the animal, after which it allegedly left her room.

She further alleged that while she chased the cat away, it transformed into Jamila, who she said was standing outside her room.

Hauwau said a pestle used by children to break palm fruits was lying near her room, and she picked it up and struck Jamila several times, allegedly telling her that she would not allow her to kill her.

She claimed that she continued hitting her co-wife until she fell to the ground.

After the incident, Hauwau said she became confused and did not know what to do. She subsequently returned to her room, picked up her newborn twins and fled the house.

According to her account, she carried one of the babies on her back and held the other in her arms while searching for a commercial motorcycle to take her away from the area.

Hauwau said she eventually travelled to her parents’ residence, where she intended to leave her newborn twins in the care of her mother before surrendering herself to the police.

She explained that she initially considered going to the estate police station but became afraid that she might be attacked by a mob along with her children.

However, she said her mother discouraged her from going to the police and instead contacted Hauwau’s elder brother.

When asked whether she had previously informed her husband about the dreams, Hauwau reportedly said she had, but that he dismissed her concerns.

Efforts to obtain a reaction from her husband, Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim, were reportedly unsuccessful.

The circumstances surrounding Jamila’s death remain under police investigation, while Hauwau’s account of the alleged dreams and events leading to the killing remains her own explanation of the incident.
