Sani shared his perspective on Twitter, stating, “The Lady Minister, Betta, who wants to lift 133 million Nigerians out of poverty needs prayers. We have been through this ‘lifting’ promises under Buhari.”
It’s worth mentioning that Shehu Sani also commented on the swearing-in of Nyesom Wike, the ex-governor of Rivers State, as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Wike was sworn in alongside 44 other ministers at a ceremony in Abuja, during which he pledged to restore the FCT to its original masterplan and address issues of land allocation.
Sani acknowledged Wike’s capacity and competence to deliver on his responsibilities but expressed concerns about the possibility of the former governor’s statements and actions leading to political turmoil.
He cautioned that Wike needs to navigate carefully to avoid potential negative consequences for both himself and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Sani tweeted, “The capacity and competence of the new FCT minister to deliver is without a doubt. The possibility of getting himself and the President into serious political trouble by his utterances or actions is also without doubt. He will have to learn to walk in a minefield or be blown by it.”
