Shock As Cross River Power Commissioner Eka William Dies Suddenly

The Cross River State Commissioner for Power and Renewable Energy, Prince Eka William, has died.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the commissioner’s death was announced on Sunday by his brother, Nkang William, who disclosed that Eka William died suddenly on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at a hospital in Abuja, where he had been receiving medical treatment.

Nkang expressed deep shock over the death, describing the development as difficult for the family to accept. He said his brother had recently been with the family, making his sudden passing particularly painful.

He described the deceased as not only a brother but also a companion and an important member of the family, adding that his death had created a painful void that would be difficult to fill.

According to the family, the memories, conversations and experiences shared with Eka William would remain cherished despite his passing.

Nkang said that while the family was mourning, they would continue to celebrate the life of the late commissioner, the people he impacted, the knowledge he shared and the relationships he built throughout his lifetime.
