In a conversation with Daddy Freeze, shared on his YouTube channel on Monday, Ayodele expressed her shock and disappointment upon learning that Iluyomade received a letter prohibiting him from entering the church premises.
She revealed that after Iluyomade served a three-month suspension imposed by the church leadership, she expected him to be reinstated to his parish or assigned to another. However, contrary to her expectations, Iluyomade was barred from the City of David.
According to Ayodele, RCCG elders made several attempts to appeal to the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, including visiting him to seek forgiveness on Iluyomade’s behalf. However, their pleas were unsuccessful.
Ayodele, a consultant for the World Health Organization, also mentioned that she frequently accompanied Iluyomade to the RCCG headquarters in Ebute Meta during the suspension period. After the suspension, when Iluyomade tried to attend Kings Court—a parish he pioneered years ago—the leadership instructed that he should not be accommodated.
Expressing her concerns, Ayodele noted that Iluyomade never intended to start a new church and that many prominent Nigerians tried to mediate the situation without success. She emphasized that Iluyomade remained committed to the RCCG despite the challenges.
Ayodele concluded by stating that Pastor Adeboye has always taught that every lost sheep should be sought out and brought back, questioning why this principle was not applied in Iluyomade’s case.
