Showdown Looms As Senator Ogembe Declares PDP Suspension Null And Void

Former Senator representing Kogi Central, Ahmed Ogembe, has rejected his purported suspension by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), insisting the party lacks the authority to sanction him.

The PDP had earlier announced Ogembe’s suspension over alleged anti-party activities, accusing him of collapsing the party’s structure in Okene Local Government Area into the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In a statement, the party described his actions as “gross misconduct, betrayal of trust, and a deliberate attempt to undermine the survival of the PDP in Kogi State.”

However, Ogembe, in a swift response on Saturday, dismissed the suspension, stressing that he had already quit the PDP before the announcement.
