The PDP had earlier announced Ogembe’s suspension over alleged anti-party activities, accusing him of collapsing the party’s structure in Okene Local Government Area into the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In a statement, the party described his actions as “gross misconduct, betrayal of trust, and a deliberate attempt to undermine the survival of the PDP in Kogi State.”

However, Ogembe, in a swift response on Saturday, dismissed the suspension, stressing that he had already quit the PDP before the announcement.
