Otti shared this information during his monthly media interaction event held at the Government House in Umuahia.

He explained that his government’s efforts to curtail unnecessary expenditures, which were prevalent in previous administrations, had resulted in substantial savings.

These savings, in turn, enabled his administration to meet its financial obligations, including the payment of salaries and pensions, as well as the commencement of major ongoing development projects.

“We have managed to accumulate savings from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) by discontinuing extraneous expenses, like disbursing funds to ‘stakeholders’,” Otti emphasized.

He underscored the principle that in the new Abia, financial resources are earned through productive work rather than handed out.
