An official statement from the Ministry of Information has reassured the public, stating that emergency teams are actively working to safeguard the building and prevent further damage.

Videos circulating on social media show flames rising from the upper floors of the large white building, with thick black smoke pouring out of the windows.
A local resident, Mohamed Kamara, described the scene to AFP, saying, “We saw smoke and fire coming from the windows and the top floor of the building this evening.”
In response to the fire, police have cordoned off streets around the State House, with additional security personnel, including soldiers, deployed to maintain order and prevent any breaches.
