Expressing his outrage, he accused those in power of acting with impunity and lacking accountability. In a post on X, he highlighted the stark difference between Nigeria and more developed nations, emphasizing that accountability remains the missing ingredient in the country’s governance.

He wrote, “It’s not as if these countries that we call ‘saner climes’ are free of corruption. The difference between them and Nigeria is, at the very least, accountability. Here, there is no respect for law and order.”

Mr Macaroni also denounced the misuse of power by security agencies and politicians, attributing Nigeria’s deep-rooted issues to the absence of consequences for misconduct.

He warned that the country’s decay would persist because the wealthy and powerful always find ways to evade justice.

“The rot in this country will continue to spread because no matter how serious an offence is or how many Nigerian lives are put at risk due to the reckless actions of a few, money, power, and influence will cleanse the guilty like pure snow,” he added.
