Bad Boy Timz, known as Olorunyomi Oloruntimilehin in the music industry, has voiced his skepticism regarding the substantiality of revenue generated from music streams for artists.
In his recent remarks, he highlighted that many artists channel a significant portion of their earnings from music streams back into promotional efforts.
The renowned ‘MJ’ singer suggested that fellow musicians prioritize revenue sources such as live performances, tours, and sponsorships to enhance their financial stability.
During an interview with Hip TV, Timz emphasized, “Relying solely on income from music streams isn’t viable. A considerable portion of these earnings is redirected toward promotional activities.”
He further elaborated, “To diversify income streams, I advocate for engaging in tours. Personally, I’ve been actively touring various countries for over a year. Therefore, I encourage my peers to explore avenues such as live shows and seek out sponsorship opportunities for greater financial gains.”
