During the visit, Tinubu launched several significant projects across the Southeast state.

  1. The visit marked the President’s first official trip of 2025, underscoring the importance of the Southeast region to his administration.
  2. Among the inaugurated projects were the GTC Smart Green School, the New Haven/Bisalla Road, the International Conference Centre, the Command-and-Control Centre, and 150 patrol vehicles equipped with surveillance cameras.
  3. President Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to completing the Eastern Rail line connecting Port Harcourt to Maiduguri, with the Port Harcourt-Aba section already completed.
  4. The President also expressed strong support for the development of the Anambra Basin, which is believed to contain up to 1 billion barrels of oil and 30 billion cubic feet of gas, positioning it as a vital energy reserve.
  5. During his visit, President Tinubu engaged with a wide range of South East leaders, actively listening to their concerns and ideas.
  6. Emphasizing unity, the President remarked, “We are all members of one large family called Nigeria. We live in different rooms in the same house. We must build this house to meet both our immediate and future needs.”
