A Nigerian soldier, identified as Egitanghan G, has voiced his willingness to participate in any operation aimed at seeking retribution for the deaths of military personnel who lost their lives during a peacekeeping mission in Delta State last week.
The soldier, hailing from Delta State himself, expressed strong condemnation for what he described as disparaging remarks made regarding the deceased soldiers.
Drawing from his own experiences in defending his country, he underscored the sacrifices made by soldiers to safeguard their homeland.
In a TikTok video shared on Wednesday, he spoke passionately in pidgin English, addressing his fellow Niger Delta residents, saying, “This message is for my Niger Delta brothers.
“When I read the comments about the disrespectful remarks made about our soldiers who died in Delta State, it brings tears to my eyes because I am also from Delta.
“I am well aware of the challenges I have faced in this country. I have spent four years fighting in Maiduguri. I know how many soldiers from Maiduguri have sacrificed their lives for their state to protect their land. I know how many people from Katsina have died for Katsina.
“But you have the audacity to kill our soldiers in Delta State, and all the South South people are making disrespectful comments. They ask whether soldiers who die in the North are also put online?
“We cannot forgive anyone who kills frontline soldiers. We must seek vengeance for their deaths. Even as a Qarri boy myself, I pray to be part of the operation.
“You forget that those who live in glass houses should not throw stones, right? If oil touches one hand, it affects the other hand. As you have priced, you must collect.
