Soludo Breaks Silence, Shuts Down Sh*cking Rumour Of Obiano’s Death

In a statement issued on Friday by his Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, Soludo described the rumour that Obiano passed away in a London hospital as “malicious, baseless, and completely untrue.”

The governor revealed that he personally contacted Obiano and confirmed that the former leader was alive and in excellent health.

“I am deeply concerned by the reckless spread of such harmful rumours. It is not only wicked but utterly irresponsible,” Soludo stated.

He urged journalists and online platforms to verify sensitive information before publication, warning that circulating false death reports undermines public trust.

Soludo called on residents to disregard the rumour entirely, assuring that Obiano remains “hale, hearty, and in good spirits.” He also extended prayers for Obiano’s continued wellness and long life.

Former Commissioner Also Debunks Rumour

C-Don Adinuba, who served as Commissioner for Information under Obiano, also dismissed the claim, clarifying that the former governor currently resides in Houston, United States—not London.

He said, “Obiano is neither in London nor hospitalised. He is strong, healthy, and doing well in the U.S. Ignore the rumour; it is fake and from an unreliable source. Obiano is very much alive.”

Obiano served as Anambra State governor from 2014 to 2022, taking over from Peter Obi and handing over to Soludo in March 2022.
