Soludo Fires Back: Ozigbo’s Claims Are A Joke Taken Too Far

Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo, has dismissed the allegations leveled against him by All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant, Valentine Ozigbo.

Ozigbo had alleged that Soludo feared his emergence as the APC candidate in the upcoming governorship election scheduled for November 8, 2025. He further accused the governor of secretly backing Nicholas Ukachukwu to sabotage the APC from within—a claim he insisted could be verified if Soludo swore on the Bible.

In response, Soludo’s Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, described Ozigbo’s claims as baseless and absurd, stating, “That’s laughable—purely a product of Ozigbo’s imagination. He should confront Ukachukwu directly and leave Governor Soludo out of their intra-party conflict.”

Aburime emphasized that Governor Soludo remains a loyal member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and is solely focused on fulfilling his promises to the people of Anambra, not meddling in APC affairs.

Meanwhile, Ozigbo has taken legal action against the APC, Ukachukwu, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the Federal High Court in Awka. His suit challenges the outcome of the APC primary and seeks to nullify Ukachukwu’s nomination while pressing for his own recognition as the party’s authentic candidate.
