According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), APGA’s Emmanuel Nwachukwu won the Anambra South Senatorial District by-election with 90,408 votes, defeating Azuka Okwuosa of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who polled 19,847 votes, and ADC’s Donald Amangbo, who managed 2,889 votes. Nwachukwu now replaces the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, who passed away in July 2024.

Similarly, APGA’s Ifeoma Azikiwe emerged victorious in the Onitsha North Constituency 1 State Assembly by-election.

Reacting to the outcome, Soludo said Labour Party chieftains, including its 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi, formed a coalition to challenge APGA but were decisively rejected by the electorate.
