Led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, who also chairs the Southwest Governors’ Forum, the early arrivals were warmly welcomed by the host governor, Dapo Abiodun, at the Presidential Lodge, Ibara Housing.

Among the dignitaries present are Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti, Governor Alex Otti of Abia, Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun, and Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River. Deputy governors in attendance include Chinyere Ekomaru of Imo, Monday Onyeme of Delta, and Olayide Adelami of Ondo.

The meeting marks the first gathering of the Southern Governors’ Forum since the passing of late Rotimi Akeredolu, former Governor of Ondo State and former chairman of the forum. The agenda for today’s meeting has yet to be disclosed.
