Sule Breaks Silence! Reveals Strategy Behind Nasarawa’s 2027 Governorship Race

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has stated that the selection of his successor in the 2027 governorship race will be determined solely by God.

Speaking during a grand reception in Lafia on Sunday in honour of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barrister Labaran Magaji, Sule disclosed that over 20 individuals have already declared interest in the position, but he has no intention of endorsing any candidate.

He emphasized that with such a large number of aspirants, the political process ahead would require strategic alliances, reconciliation, and unity among contenders.

“So far, around 20 people have shown interest in the governorship race,” Sule noted. “There will need to be alliances, forgiveness, and teamwork if we truly want progress, because in the end, only one person can emerge.”

He added, “It is not Abdullahi Sule who will choose the next governor—it is God Almighty.”

Governor Sule also took the opportunity to commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unwavering support for Nasarawa State.
