In response to the Supreme Court’s ruling, the Governor of Kogi State characterized it as a resounding confirmation of the people’s choice. According to a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Muhammed, the judgment also served as a test of the nation’s democratic institutions, and he commended the apex court for providing relief to ordinary Nigerians.
Governor Bello, while congratulating President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima on their significant victory at the Supreme Court, emphasized that it reflected the clear and popular mandate expressed during the February 25, 2023 elections.
He also extended his congratulations to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and expressed optimism that the party would extend a warm invitation to candidates from other political parties who participated in the election to collaborate with the President for the collective benefit of the nation.
