A recent gun battle between security operatives and a suspected drug kingpin, Sumaila Ata, alias Summy, in Kogi State has reportedly resulted in the neutralization of the suspect.The transition Chairman of the Igalamela/Odolu local government area, Hon. (Barr.) Cosmas Atabor, confirmed the incident, stating that there was a serious exchange of gunfire between the suspect and security operatives in Ajaka, Igalamela/Odolu local government area.According to Hon. Atabor, Summy was fatally shot during the confrontation in the otherwise peaceful town of Ajaka. The chairman emphasized the importance of community support in combating crime and urged for prayers for the soul of the deceased and positive change among the youth.He clarified misinformation regarding allegations of providing a list of individuals for “liquidation” by security agencies, emphasizing that the agencies acted based on credible intelligence to apprehend Sumaila Ata.Hon.
