Sylva stated that the entire communities in Nembe have rejected the false claims made by Diri during the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign in the area.

Sylva, represented by his Special Assistant on Media and Public Affairs, Julius Bokoru, pointed out that Governor Diri went to Nembe to campaign for his re-election but failed to highlight any significant projects he had completed in the area, apart from the Unity Bridge, which was almost finished before he took office.

He criticized Diri for lacking a clear plan and accomplishing very little in the region, suggesting that the governor and former Deputy Governor John Jonah resorted to spreading lies and attempting to discredit him in front of his own people.

Sylva, a native of Nembe, urged Diri to stop wasting his energy on Nembe, emphasizing that no amount of lies and desperation would secure victory for him in the upcoming election.

He asserted that the people had already rejected the governor, and Diri’s excessive focus on Nembe had only brought death, destruction, and suffering to the area.

Sylva further criticized Diri’s administration for subjecting Nembe to dehumanization, rights violations, and neglect, transforming it into a battleground to further the governor’s personal interests in winning the election.
