Recall that Datti Baba Ahmed, who served as the running mate to Peter Obi in the recent elections, has been in the headlines since their loss at the polls. Both Ahmed and Obi are currently challenging President Tinubu’s electoral victory in court.
Amidst these developments, President Tinubu recently appointed the Vice Chancellor of Baze University, Tahir Mamman, to oversee the Education Ministry. This move has raised eyebrows, especially among the Obidients, who have been vocal in their criticism of their former campaign director-general, Doyin Okupe. Adeyanju, in his reaction, pointed out what he perceives as hypocrisy among the Obidients. He opined that while they were quick to criticize Okupe, they conveniently ignored the fact that Datti Baba Ahmed’s close ally was appointed a minister by the same government they are challenging. His tweet read, “They are dragging Okupe and left Datti Ahmed that his right-hand man was made minister by Tinubu. They don’t know it is Datti that nominated the guy, lol.”
