Speaking at the 60th birthday celebration of Olowu of Kuta, Oba Adekunle Oyelude, in Kuta, Osun State, Buratai praised the monarch as a true Nigerian who embraces all ethnicities.

Buratai asserted that those pushing for separation must be prepared to take their share of land and move it to the ocean, citing the Nigerian Civil War as evidence that such divisions are destined to fail.

He called for unity to foster Nigeria’s development, stating, “Nigeria is one. Anyone wishing to leave should take their part of the land to the Atlantic, not within Nigeria’s borders. The level of integration among us is evident.”

He highlighted the coexistence of various ethnic groups within the country and urged against allowing politics to undermine national unity. Buratai concluded that anyone seeking to leave Nigeria is merely dreaming, recalling the painful lessons from the Civil War.

The event was attended by notable figures, including the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, and ex-Osun State Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola.
