The incident occurred on Friday, August 16, and was recorded by the bridge’s security cameras.

The woman, identified by police as Reema Mukesh Patel from Mulund, was seen perilously perched on the edge of the bridge’s barrier. The footage shows Patel throwing an unknown object into the sea, indicating her intent to jump.

Moments later, as Patel leapt off the edge, the taxi driver, whose identity remains undisclosed, swiftly intervened by grabbing her hair to prevent her from falling.

The driver’s prompt actions were complemented by the quick response of nearby traffic police, who helped pull Patel back over the barrier and ensure her safety.
