According to Naija News, Turji has also issued a chilling ultimatum to residents of Kamara, Arume, and Kagara villages, warning them to vacate by Sunday or face brutal attacks.

A local source from one of the threatened villages told Punch that the warnings have sparked widespread panic, forcing families to flee en masse to avoid potential violence.

Multiple residents across the affected areas expressed deep concern over what they believe is a lack of effective government intervention. Some even alleged that Turji may be enjoying covert protection from unknown actors, adding to the community’s fears.

One displaced resident from Bafarawa said, “This is not just a random threat. It’s well-coordinated and strategic. If the authorities remain silent, more villages will be overrun.”

Confirming the development, Sokoto State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Ahmed Rufai, stated that security personnel have already been stationed in the area.

He added, “Though we haven’t received a formal complaint, our officers have been deployed to the region for the past three days and are ready to respond to any breach of peace.”
