Tension Mounts As Policeman Threatens Mass Killing OF Southerners In Northern States

Reports indicate that Dan-Taki, in reaction to the recent lynching of 16 Northern travelers in Uromi, Edo State, posted a comment on Facebook expressing intentions to retaliate against Southerners residing in Northern Nigeria. He swore by Almighty God that decisive actions would be taken.

In his comment, Dan-Taki wrote, “I swear to Almighty God, we must do something for you guys. Have you forgotten all your brothers living here in the North? Mark my words, after one week, you shall see the result.”

After facing backlash, Dan-Taki altered his Facebook profile name and restricted access to his posts and comments. However, a user identified as UcheDIgboezeson shared a screenshot of the comment and tagged Adejobi, urging him to take action. Adejobi acknowledged the message, stating, “Noted for necessary action. Thanks.”

In a related development, Governor Okpebholo of Edo State recently visited Senator Jibrin to discuss the killing of the 16 hunters who were traveling to the North. Senator Jibrin, in a statement on his handle, called for those responsible to be brought to justice and commended the Governor’s commitment to ensuring accountability.
