The group is said to be planning to establish a secretariat at an elite hotel in Abuja and rally opposition against the leadership of both chambers.

Tensions are particularly high among lawmakers from the North-Central and South-West geopolitical zones, with discontent over the exclusion of the North-Central from key offices and the dominant role of Lagos State in the South-West power-sharing arrangement.
